While meandering the internet (which means procrastinating my hydrogeology lab work), I stumbled upon your blog. We are similar in many ways, and just out of curiosity I'd like to know where you think your geology education will take you ideally and realistically. Thanks, beautiful. -20 year old IU Geo Major
I just came on here to check something (procrastination during exams, you know how it is).
I’m not sure where I WANT my geology education to take me. There are many fields of study which I realistically could go into with this (petroleum, mineral exploration, geoscience) but at this point I don’t have enough experience to say what direction I want to take.
Right now, I’m waiting to hear back from a mineral exploration company about a job for this summer… so if I could get that (fingers crossed!) I may have narrowed down my search a little.
Why anon? And you probably won’t read this, but whatever heh.

hi i just found your blog this weekend I'm not going to follow you because that'll be weird but it is nice to see that you're an overall nice person now. i went to elementary school with you and you were very mean to kids younger than you. it was sad, because you were considered a bully. i am surprised your a nice person now. good for you though, glad to see people can change. i hope you post this on your page so you don't hide from this.
……. I don’t think I was a bully, was I? I believe I was friends with a lot of kids younger than I was…. This is a very weird message.

I’ve had a bunch of unfollows lately. I’d say that doing schoolwork/spending time with my kittens/spending time with Sean is worth it though. Just an update on my life for those that care:
- I just bought an iPod touch, hence the instagram photo spam
- things are going super duper well with Sean. I’m so happy all the time with him , and we’re still enjoying all our time together and just loving life.
- Courses are hard but I’m getting through. Geochem, as much as I complain about it, is probably my best class. I get nineties in almost all the assignments. Bio geology is a joke… All we do is draw specimen in lab, and it’s super easy. (Though I’ve got to say that labeling trilobites sucked.) Optics and calc are frustrating cause I never give myself enough time to learn, and astronomy is just cool.
- I bought a sweet vintage wingback armchair that I want to re-upholster but need to find the time.
- Leaving for our road trip is only a week away!!!!!!!
